Sunnybrook’s combined heat and power (CHP) project consists of the installation of an 8 MW gas turbine generator (GTG), a 90,000 lb/h heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), a deaerator, and new 15 kV switchgear inside a new building along with the installation of a fuel gas booster compressor (FGBC), and a 10 MVA step-up transformer outside in the vicinity of the new building. The scope of the project included the procurement, installation and commissioning of the major equipment listed above along with other mechanical, electrical, control equipment, interconnecting piping (medium pressure steam, feedwater, chilled water, natural gas, condensate, compressed air), cabling (27.6 kV, 13.8 kV, 600 V, 120V) wiring, and associated controls.
